Merry Christmas From Tech Leopard!

Merry Christmas tech enthusiasts! This is just a quick little message to say that I hope Santa was good to you all and brought you all the gadgetry and upgrades you wished for. 🙂 Apologies for things growing quite quiet around the blog front, but there are a few things lined up for 2014 which I’m hoping you’ll enjoy. I’m also hoping to have more for you Kindle enthusiasts! For now here is a wishlist I’m hoping to tackle in the first few months of 2014:

  • New Smartphone to finally let me move on from my trusty old iPhone 3G and begin looking at some app reviews & maybe even some setup guides.
  • Modest upgrades to the home server to let it run VMs a little more smoothly. An Intel Core i3 3220 CPU is currently top of my wishlist along with at least 1 additional 2TB HDD for storage and backups. Experimenting with a few different OS and software options for various purposes would be fun.
  • Possibly a new graphics card for my gaming PC. Starfury’s still going strong, but I’d like to enjoy a little more of the beauty in Guild Wars 2 and while I’m squeezing every last bit of performance I can out of this 5.5yr old gamer, it’d be nice to spruce her up a bit before I have to replace her completely.
  • While it’s still probably a looong way off, at some point I’d still really like to build a Hackintosh. Granted this seems unlikely to happen in 2014 since the iMac I bought in Nov 2012’s still doing everything I need it to and alas, boring stuff like paying the mortgage prevents me splashing out just for the sake of it … even though I really wanna! 😛

Thanks for sticking with Tech Leopard in 2013, I really appreciate it! Here’s to wishing you a fantastic New Year and all the best for 2014! 😀
